After seeing the first match success someone posted back on June 27, I decided to send an email to flysmiles@srilankan.com requesting a status match from my British Airways Gold (oneworld emerald) to Srilankan Platinum (oneworld emerald) because I fly back and forth to CMB a lot for work and after a few days I received an email asking for the following information below.
Please be kind enough to provide us with the following mandatory attachment for further assistance with the request.
· FlySmiles membership number
· Existing FFP programme & Airline (it should be a partner of One World).
· Picture of the One World loyalty card.
· Statement of full transactions (last 12M full statement with Flights & traveled sectors details)
· Kindly note that the statements should be in English.
· Future reservations or any tickets issued on SriLankan Airlines
· Frequently travelled sectors with the other airline
After sending all the information back, I was sent a welcome to srilankan platinum email about a week later and logged into my account and saw the platinum status and it was valid for a whole 12 months from when I requested the match! Great Success!
