Hilton HHonors

Pulled right from the Hilton website and proven by my experience: Submit your program and stay proof of another competitor loyalty program. Once approved for Status Match, we will upgrade your status to Gold for 90 days. Stay a minimum of 5 nights within your 90 day trial period, and we’ll upgrade your status to Gold. Even better: if you complete an additional 4 nights (9 nights total) within your 90 day trial period, we’ll upgrade your status to Diamond.

Avis Preferred

I'm already a US-based Plus member. I emailed profile.update@avisbudget.com with screenshot of Sixt Platinum status (plus National Emerald Executive Elite) and got this reply: "Your status has already been upgraded to the highest level offered, a Avis Preferred Plus status." Second attempt: "I show your profile already at Avis Preferred Plus, which is the highest level of status match offered at this time. Avis President's Club is invitation-only." It seems like those succeeded probably live outside of US as PC is an earnable status outside of US (as opposed to invitation-only in the US). P.S. I eventually was able to get a match to President's Club through the Avis PoC for my employer.

Denied. I met all their stated criteria (had travel history flying to SFO-HNL which is one of their routes, and had future travel planned with them). They refused to explain why denied but would not reconsider. Contacted by their online site, and then my email Sent all their required info (image of card, my travel history, future travel with Hawaiian.
