Hilton is not a status match. It is a challenge. I had contacted them via their specific status match email. I had to send them a screenshot of my diamond status with IHG. They grant you gold, and you have to complete a certain amount of qualifying nights within a certain time period to receive diamond status. (Maybe 3-5 nights within 60 or 90 days, I don't specifically remember. But it wasn't anything ridiculous, it pretty reasonable and attainable.)
