I had requested a status match because SAS is changing from Star Alliance to SkyTeam and I travel with SAS very often both professionally and privately. Unfortunately, the match was denied because there are strict guidelines for status matches within SAS and there can be no exceptions to this. Currently, only Miles & More, Miles & Smiles, Finnair Plus and BA Executive Club are matched to SAS EB. However, it is positive that the request was answered super quickly and in a friendly manner.

I contacted SAS through their form. They sent me a request for documents (passport, TK Card, which I got from the app, and a statement going back about a year) and I got back an email stating that I needed to put the message ID number in the email transmitting the documents. I re-sent the documents this time adding the message ID and two days later, I got a message congratulating me on the status upgrade.

I sent an email initially to use Marriott which I uploaded my status via screenshot to their portal but also mentioned I had Hilton but was unsure which company gave me the highest status match. The replied with a request for Hilton because it gave a higher match. Once uploaded it was approved from Hilton Gold to Wyndham Diamond with a 10 stay 90 day challenge.
