Sent an email to member@scandichotels.com and asked for a match from Radisson VIP plus Best Western Diamond Select plus several others to Scandic Friends. They answered as follows:
"Generally, we do not do status matches but if you could kindly answer the questions below, we can definitely have a look and see if we can come to a solution.
1. How many nights per year do you stay?
2. What hotels are you staying at today?
3. Which Scandic hotels do you see that you would like to change to?
4. How many nights out of your total number of nights do you estimate to stay at Scandic per year?
5. What company do you work for and do you have a corporate agreement with us? Please get back to us with your company’s booking code (D-number) if possible.
Please get back to us with answers to the above and include your membership with another hotel chain as a screenshot."
I answered the questions - and provided the requested screenshots and proofs.
One day later I got the confirmation via email that they were able to offer me a match to Level 5 (Loyal Friend) . That is the highest level they will offer for such a questionnaire based "match". As Scandic Friends has 7 tiers in total - Level 5 (Loyal Friend) is the third highest level available in their loyalty program.
As we do not have a corporate agreement with Scandic the granted match to Scandic Friends Level 5 = Loyal friend was a direct result of my answers regarding item 1-4 (i.e. frequency and duration of stays in combination with my current membership status in several loyalty programs.
