Scandic Status Match

I sent an email to member@scandichotels.com and asked for a match from Radisson VIP plus Best Western Diamond Select plus several others to Scandic Friends. They answered as follows: "Generally, we do not do status matches but if you could kindly answer the questions below, we can definitely have a look and see if we can come to a solution. 1. How many nights per year do you stay? 2. What hotels are you staying at today? 3. Which Scandic hotels do you see that you would like to change to? 4. How many nights out of your total number of nights do you estimate to stay at Scandic per year? 5. What company do you work for and do you have a corporate agreement with us? Please get back to us with your company’s booking code (D-number) if possible. Please get back to us with answers to the above and include your membership with another hotel chain as a screenshot." I answered the questions - and provided the requested screenshots and proofs. One day later I got the confirmation via email that they were able to offer me a match to Level 5 (Loyal Friend) . That is the highest level they will offer for any such a questionnaire based "match" . As Scandic Friends has 7 tiers in total - Level 5 (Loyal Friend) is the third highest level available in their loyalty program. As we do not have a corporate agreement with Scandic the granted match to Scandic Friends Level 5 = Loyal friend was a direct result of my answers regarding item 1-4 (i.e. frequency and duration of stays in combination with my current membership status in several loyalty programs.

(Anyone have any ideas on how i can "stay" 4 nights without actually staying in the hotel i was thinking to book the cheapest rooms and see if there is a check in online/phone option... I'm located in the US - my end goal is to do the Scandic to SAS match) The Rep said - "In order for the upgrade to go through you must stay minimum 4 nights at Scandic to receive the Loyal Friend (Level 5) upgrade. When you done this the system will automatically upgrade you."

They told me I need to stay 4 nights to get the status match upgrade - Im located in the US nowhere near their hotels... is it worth it to just book 4 nights in the cheapest Scandic and try to check in online/phone? Anyone have any ideas to complete this? "To receive your matched Level, you must stay four qualifying nights at one of our hotels before the 30th of September. Once you have stayed these nights, your Level will automatically be upgraded to Loyal Friend. Please note that if you do not stay four nights within this period, the upgrade will not apply."

Linked Scandic Friends-account to Eurobonus-account on Scandics website, and got automatically matched to level 4.

What company do you work for and do you have a corporate agreement with us? i replied and got matched 2 hours later to Level 4 of the new program.

Sent an initial emails, got a reply with a questionnaire, answered that with screenshots of membership card with other hotel chains, got told they could match me to Level 4 (Dear Friend).

I an E-Mail, then I get aresponse to answer a few questions.

The status match was easily done from within the SAS EuroBonus membership area. Just needed to link my Scandic Friends account to SAS EuroBonus - and got the status match within seconds.

Responded 20min after sending. Only got upgraded to silver.

Sent email to StatusMatch@radissonhotels.com with screenshot of member card and activity from Scandic website. 6 days later I get an reply stating my account is upgraded to Radisson Rewards Gold Elite.
