I got the same canned response was everyone else: "I completely understand that you're hoping to do a status match, and I appreciate your interest. However, I have to let you know that we are not offering status matches at this time. I truly wish we could accommodate you. Thank you for your understanding." What I don't understand is their reluctance to grow the brand. I've been a Delta Medallion since they started the program, almost 40 years. But I'm willing to try something else as Korean Air and Delta leave something to be desired for trans-Pac travel. What do they have to lose by giving me a match and a challenge?? Seems like a no brainer for me.

I requested a Match Status from Emirates Skywards Gold to Turkish Elite through their website going to --> Help section (at the bottom of their website) --> Help Center --> feedback --> new feedback --> Membership Processes. I have uploaded my Gold Membership Card requesting the change. Within 2 days they contacted me asking for a flight statement of the past 2 months, copy of my ID & my Emirates Sjywards Membership Card. In 2 days, they accepted my request. Brilliant! Challenge to remain gold: one international flight within 4 months & 15k miles earned in a year to extend the gold membership one year. Just a walk in the park.
